Iconic Galaxy wins big at Asia Pacific Property Awards 2020- 21

May 6, 2020: Iconic Galaxy, the latest high-end self-contained luxury apartment complex by leading South Asian Property Developer Iconic Developments was recognized in the residential high-rise development category for Sri Lanka at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2020-21.  

The prestigious property awards focusing on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability is judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts lead by Lord Caithness, Lord Best and Lord Waverly of the House of Lords of the UK parliament. 

“Iconic Galaxy achieved many firsts in Sri Lanka, such as a unique flood-proof construction site as well as a rooftop landscape designed to environmental and green standards. Given these achievements, we are delighted to have won recognition for our revolutionary concepts in the evolving local industry. I want to take this opportunity to thank our team, and our construction partner MAGA for their untiring efforts to realize the concepts created by our architects and design teams,” Iconic Developments Managing Director Rohan Parikh said. 

Designed by Mumbai-based architect cum interior designer Samira Rathod, the Iconic Galaxy blends cosmopolitan energy with bucolic contemplation to enjoy the simple things in luxury with a nod to the past. Internationally-minded and locally inspired, the apartment complex brings together the ‘pulse’ and ‘texture’ of Colombo, heavily influenced by its environment. “Colombo is one of the very few cities in the world which is still so green, and I hope it stays that way,” Rathod said.  

Held for the 27th year the Asia Pacific Awards is the largest, most prestigious and widely recognised programme held throughout the regions with winners to be celebrated at a gala ceremony at Marriot’s Queen Park in Bangkok, Thailand in September 2020. 

 Regional heats are also held for Africa, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, the UK and the USA. Top winners in each region will automatically enter the overall International Awards culminating in a gala ceremony to be held at the Savoy Hotel in London this December. 

The Iconic Galaxy is set to deliver 272 super-luxury, two, three and four bed-roomed apartments amidst a plethora of world-class amenities and services. Accessible from two roads, the apartment complex is perched on the trunk route of Buthgamuwa Road, spread over an area of approximately 1.5 acres of land. The apartment complex will be home to a 7-level private club worthy of a 5-star hotel, private guest suites for overnight visitors, and on-site conveniences that include a supermarket, business centre, beauty salon and laundromat. 

Additionally, prospective homeowners of the Iconic Galaxy can avail themselves of convenient payment options, in addition to hassle free home loans offered in partnership with leading Sri Lankan banks.
